Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

FYI....I live in AZ now, so unless you're buying me plane tickets to come watch this series, I won't be there. Which I am more than willing to let you do of course...haha.

Remember..I am "All Powerful Watch Dawg"......I know where you live.

This post really caused a stir. The lines were jammed as the Pointer community called in to commit donations for your flight. There is a problem, though. The flight does not go to Stevens Point. It's a one-way ticket to a place that no one has yet returned from!

I guess that's what you get when you constantly rip the Pointers!

First off...is that girl OK?

Secondly, does NCAA have a Colin Campbell? I can't say I have ever heard or seen where a player has been suspended in Women's College Hockey due to an on ice infraction. Am I wrong?

I understand that she is okay, just a little sore and shaken up.

i don't need to rip them....Ninneman does a good enough job of that herself :)

Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

Good production from the Knights this weekend versus Marian (not unexpected).
First chance that I have had to watch two full games this season and the young squad is starting to play very well together.
They have been competitive in every game this season (despite their six loses). Of the six, five have been by two goals or less.
Now to the meat of the conference schedule, with two game series coming up versus LFC, River and Superior to start the New Year.
Go 3 -- 3 in these six games and they will have a good chance of making the conference playoffs in their first season.

I think every team, even Finlandia, makes the conference playoffs.

Top 8 make it. Marian and Finlandia will be out. Probably CSS, SNC or CUW will be the other team that doesn't make it....unless one of the other teams makes a drastic collapse.

Re: Trouble at Stevens Point?

Saw the Marian vs Superior game on Saturday, while in the Twin Ports this weekend.
Thought that the Jackets are a very good skating team. Easily outclassed the Sabres.
Marian is in for a VERY long season, as bad as they looked!!

the problem with the marian team is that the coach still wants to play at a high school level, Marians best player quit the team after the first game, because of frustrations with the coach, he allows girly back stabbing dramma, he will not listen to players that have experience and may have some good plays he just wants his same old same old. I do not think that the coach will be around for very long, marian needs a college hockey coach not a squirt coach.

I think the odds are low. But the picture should become a little clearer on Jan 7th and 8th when RIT travels to Adrian
Both teams will be coming off long breaks and should be gearing up for a tough second half of the season.

Anyone know if Adrian broadcasts their games.

Adrian has live stats.

Only problem with that is the AD doesn't always have the control on that. In RF the Hockey arena and fieldhouse are separate entities from the Athletic Department. We at the radio station try to do most home games but with 4 teams playing on the same day and only one air channel it gets tough.

I don't know how much it costs...but contracting it out through a website seems like the best way. Superior uses Ifan.tv which you can see does the UWS mens & women's hockey and basketball games, it does CSS mens & women's hockey and basketball, it does some UMD women's games, it also does a bunch of local high school football, hockey, and basketball. Seems like a more feasible thing to do then the school or local station trying to set it up on its own.

I'm not sure...correct me if I'm wrong...but CSS doesn't own Mars Lakeview and they webcast their games...so I don't think that the arena being "off campus" really plays a role in that...the arena should have the hook ups to do it....especially a brand new facility called Arrington in Adrian!

Didn't River Falls have it webcast thru some site a few years back when they hosted the NCHA tourney? I think you had to pay though...which always sucks.
