Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

SNC is NOT a team I want to draw in the NCHA playoffs...yikes that team is really starting to look like a spoiler...
The Lady Knights are playing strong defense and getting consistent goal tending from Gibson.
Also, they get a number of players back for this coming weekend's games, who have been unable to participate since the second half of the season began.

Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

The really interesting thing will be Not who wins the conference or goes undefeated or take second place or who gets the AQ to the NCAA's.......It will be who slugs it out for the 8th and final playoff spot for the conference tourny, and who gets left out in the cold.

There have also been problems at Wessman Arena with the cooling systems. The last few weekends the men have had to play over at the decc. I'm wondering if it will be fixed by this weekends women's games and where they will play.

Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

I think the NCHA could possibly end up like this

1 UWRF 17-1-2 35 pts
2 UWS 13-3-4 30 pts
3 Adrian 13-5-2 28 pts
4 LF 11-7-2 24 pts
5 UWEC 11-7-2 24 pts
6 Concordia 10-9-1 21 pts
7 SNC 9-8-3 21 pts
8 UWSP 9-9-2 20 pts
might not make the playoffs if they continue collapsing, they'v lost 5 of their last 7
9 SCHOLI 7-11-2 16
(could make the playoffs with sweep of UWSP)

FIN/ Marian will have a W

If UWSP sweeps Scholastica this weekend, they put Scholastica and SNC in a loser stays home match the following weekend. If Scholastica sweeps UWSP, UWSP is probably done with UWS coming up next weekend.

A split just muddies the water further (as if it could get any muddier).

Of course, Concordia is by no means a lock with UWS, UWEC, and UWSP left to play. They could actually save UWSP from staying home even if Scholastica sweeps them.

Once again, a multitude of splits could turn the seeding into a giant game of scissors/rock/paper. ;)

I'm not sure Adrian finishes 3rd. I'm gonna put them at 10-7-3 with 23 points. They get swept by River Falls, lose and tie Lake Forest, split with EC and SNC

If River falls sweeps them it would be the first time they have, should be interesting to see if they are that much improved. LF seems to be off quite a bit from last year I don't think they can take 3 of 4. With the exception of RIT most of Adrians losess were self inflicted. it is time for Adrian to step up and play the way they can anyone that has watched them can see that most of the problem is mental bad decisions at both blue lines way too many players trying to go coast to coast and turning over the puck. Not to mention the huge amount of penalties that are normaly due to tempers and lack of disipline. If they can play these games with discipline and good decision making they should come out more like nbound thinks.

Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

Point looking to get going again with a sweep of Marian. Could be their last chance of the year for a sweep.

Is Wessman back on-line? If not any updates on when it will be?

Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

Concordia's playing much better since early November. They're really playing well now with the win tonight over Superior, they should finish with more NCHA wins than 11.

Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

I know everyone will ask, but there is no coverage of the RF/Adrian game this evening. We are carrying our basketball teams, but tomorrows game will be able to be both heard and seen online.

Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

WATCH OUT!!!! All of Norberts players are back. Back to full strength.

Re: NCHA 10-11.....**** You St. Norbert

Superior's dismal showing this weekend means they must sweep River Falls next weekend to have any shot at the NCHA title(assuming River Falls sweeps Adrian). I can't forsee that happening, but then again...I didn't forsee Superior only getting 1 point from Concordia.

I know most people in the D3 hockey world are seeing the NCHA as weak, but this weekend has to show that with the exception of Marian/Finlandia any team can win a game at any time in this league. Gone are the days when you could circle one or two weekends as the key weekends to winning the conference title.
