Sisman in the Romney penelty box, pointing at his forearm, shouting at ref "That's an elbow??"

just read Platts is leaving today, when are the Ozzssasins leaving?? Gotta get rid of the bus legs and used to the rink, perhaps 2 skates b4 fri??

At least own the reason for your edit. Something like "corrected at the prompting of the awesome NUProf :)

I now have the best job I ever had. I just got back in from a 5 mile run in beautiful spring weather, too.

a 5 mile run:confused: Who/what was chasing you? I guess in Vermont, you might have to run 5 miles before finding someone to help :p Last time I had to run, I got some Immodium. :o

Unfortunately the Green Knights get limited coverage in Green Bay relative to the success of their hockey program. The big news in Sunday's Green Bay Press Gazette was local high school basketball. Knight's were relegated to the 2nd or 3rd page of the paper as I remenber. They did get good coverage when they won the national championship in 2008.
My impression is hockey is not to big of a deal in Green Bay.

Well, you have to understand this about Green Bay:

* Packers transcends sports and is lifestyle. Even on the sports side it is year round and is the dominant topic. Last weekend was fan fest - an $85 autograph weekend event that drew more than any SNC game.

* High school sports are a big deal and we're in hoops state tourney time. Boys sectional finals Saturday night outdrew SNC by nearly 3-to-1 at the biggest venues in GB and Oshkosh.

* The D1 women's hoops team (UWGB) had conf tourney last weekend. They also outdraw SNC. The team got an at-large NCAA bid and is a pretty big deal.

* Even when it comes to hockey, they have competition from the USHL team, which averages more than 2x of SNC and sometimes outdraws them 5-1. And they are very good this year.

* Wisconsin and Marquette hoops, Brewers spring training, and to some extent the Bucks compete for attention.

So, no, hockey isn't on the top of the food chain. SNC isn't the biggest college in the area (it's easily 3rd by enrollment). Considering attendance and competition, it actually does quite well in coverage. Not that we don't wish for more...

GL2K - will be getting into town around 12:30 or so and doing some sightseeing (my first visit to Lake Placid). My friend coming with me wants to watch the first half of Siena game (230p tipoff). Suggestion on another thread by Cards rule the Burgh was:

Lake Placid Pub and Brewery.
813 Mirror Lake Drive
Lake Placid, NY 12946

Seems as good a spot as any to watch some hoops, so try there after 2:30p.

All kidding aside. This should be a great game for everyone including D3 Hockey. Two great programs fighting to play another great program. This is a special frozen four.

I suspect you're going to have one hell of a memory this weekend. I really like their chances.

Really sad we couldn't make the trip out east, but I'm counting on the posters to put up scores tomorrow, I can't get out of work until probably half way thru the second period.
