My analysis was based strictly on their H2H with Adrian, and I realize I'm comparing a January N/C game played in Oswego, to a tournament game played last Wednesday at St. Norbert.
The 4th line you mention may be contributing offensively recently, but they didn't stand out when I watched them.
Adrian played shorthanded for probably 15+ minutes out of the 60 against Oswego and still managed to get 30 shots off, with 6 or 7 good scoring chances.
Musselwhite was clearly Oswego's best player....in both ends of the ice.
SNC had 4 lines that pretty much smothered Adrian's attack allowing 19 shots and maybe 4-5 scoring chances. Then they followed that up with a similar effort against an offensively gifted GAC.
Strong defense and discipline, usually wins.
I'm not sure how SNC's style of play will serve them on the bigger ice surface against a very fast and very skilled Oswego team, so with this in mind I gave the slight edge to the Lakers.
