NCAA Quarterfinals: Minnesota at #4 Boston College, 3/12 at 1pm

Re: NCAA Quarterfinals: Minnesota at #4 Boston College, 3/12 at 1pm

You are welcome to count me! I'll be in my new Hockey East hat!
Glad to hear you'll be at the BC game.... one less fan sitting on the BU side of the ice.

:p

Do logistics permit watching a period or two of MC/BU if MN/BC ends in regulation?

I certainly hope so, because that is exactly what a number of us are planning on! The rinks are actually just off opposite ends of Commonwealth Ave. Problem is traffic and parking. I call first open space!

Getting to BU from BC will take only slightly longer than it would to get from Ridder to Dinkytown and back, and back to Dinkytown. ;)

Assuming you don't hold us up at any of the fine dining spots along the way:P

Yeah, unfortunately, Commonwealth Avenue has something like 12 lights (I think that might be accurate, I just did a mental run down the street) and it takes some ungodly amount of time to get down that road because you always hit at least 10 of them. You would think they would have hired someone to make it *somewhat* efficient, right?

Park in the Shaws lot. No one checks.

Forgive me for being too lazy to look this up, but is MC/BU at 3? BC/UM will end almost right on the nose at 3pm if regulation. You'll see two periods easily. It takes a long time to get to WBA, but not 50 minutes!

Just got a notification that tickets for the game at Walter Brown will be $10 and $14. Anyone heard about the gate for Conte?

Dude, this is Boston (OK, Allston) we are talking about. Lights don't count since no one stops for them.

Maybe BC will actually open their concessions for just the third time ever at a women's game, and he'll be well fed for the arduous voyage!

Seriously? just yesterday, BU's website was still showing their $5 and $3 prices, which is what I told nine thousand people already. Ugh!

That seems steep... my guess for BC was $5, but now I'm not so sure. I'm going to call the arena tomorrow.

Re: NCAA Quarterfinals: Minnesota at #4 Boston College, 3/12 at 1pm

One would think that the NCAA would control pricing and all quarters would be priced uniformly, but that doesn't appear to be the case. According to this article, Wisconsin's prices are:
... $10 for adults and $5 for UW students, senior citizens and youth.

Yes you would think so, as they seem to have rules about everything else.
