The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
For years now, Minnesota has done one non-conference roadtrip a season, and over those years, it was against a CHA team (Mercyhurst, none, Wayne St, Niagara.) In 2006-07, I think there was a problem where the the nonconference road series either had a scheduling issue or the exhibition vs the Whitecaps caused a problem. I don't remember the exact hangup.
Anyway, I agree. I wish Minnesota would play more games against the top East teams, because I haven't seen that series against bottom-half teams accomplish anything. The problem is often predicting who those top teams will be, because even when we played BC, it was after their first FF trip, and they then followed with a disappointing season. Games against talented but underachieving teams can wind up being lose/lose.
Re: NCAA Quarterfinals: Minnesota at #4 Boston College, 3/12 at 1pm
Minnesota... always the class of Women's College hockey....while some one has to win...some one has to loose, believe BC out played/classed the Gophers today. Welcome to hockey East.
