NCAA Hockey - 2023/24 **Insert Witty Tagline**

It doesn’t really appear to have much of an impact. Bob has just mentioned numerous times that he thinks it is a bad time of year to possibly play just two games in three weeks, especially if a team is rolling.

That part I can agree with. Really wish they would just make the semis and finals one weekend, or make the semis 2 of 3. But the former would be a dead environment if the host loses the semi and the latter runs into the facilities issues. Which is happening anyway in the quarters. OSU and Wisconsin have to play at Nationwide because Value City is being used for HS wrestling.

This is why the final five was great. One location. Good for hockey. And even if it was anchorage, Denver, CC, and UNO, there was always a local team or a team that traveled well that would be there. Plus it was all in one weekend.

It was beautiful. And because it was beautiful it had to die apparently

Wisconsin lost to the U18 team 6-5. I’m assuming they scheduled it so they wouldn’t possibly have two bye weeks if they had won the conference, but it looks like Hastings treated it as a normal exhibition instead of a tune up for the playoffs.

Started the 2nd and 3rd string goalies who gave up 6 after 30 minutes. Messed with line combos. Were down 6-2 after 2 periods.

Today is the day!

I spoke to an old friend who knows high school hockey (and is announcing some of the games this year) for their picks.

A: Hibbing and St. Cloud cathedral
AA- Stillwater and Moorhead

Stillwater has vaneks oldest, Moorhead has Matt Cullens kids plus Ryan krafts son. They have been runner ups a zillion times

Let’s go mahtomedi and Stillwater!! Ride that Pony!!!

I wouldn't put any money on Mahtomedi. Would love to see Hibbing back in the title game.

On AA don't sleep on Shakopee, but your friend's top 2 picks are probably the right choice.

I thought the Cullens were cousins and not brothers, one being Matt’s boy and the other being Mark’s.

Of course it doesn’t really matter a Cullen is a Cullen.

Maybe. But listening to the Wild on 7th podcast, it sounds like Moorhead is a very slick passing team that is fun to watch. Hopefully it’s exciting

One hour til puck drop!

Today is the day the big boys play

Stillwater v Andover at 11am should be good. Stillwater expected to reach final and I’m excited to see little vanek

The Moorhead team is supposed to be a masterclass of passing - can’t wait to see them tonight

Rogers looked like they were playing not to lose the latter part of game including OT and Edina finally capitalized.

Lame.
