NCAA Hockey - 2023/24 **Insert Witty Tagline**

Yes, but now you’re showing everyone you’re BU the same way they show people they’re BU, so now they DEMAND SATISFACTION.
This will end the same way as SUNY Ithaca suing the University of Cornell in IA for copyright infringement only to be told that IA had that name long before the upoity jumpstart SUNY school has been trying to claim it, naming themselves after their highly corrupted former governor.

Governor? Neither William Cornell (college) nor Ezra Cornell (university) were governors.

As someone who has been to Mt. Vernon, IA, it makes Ithaca, NY look like a major metropolis.

I ate one of my last meals with my late uncle at a restaurant there in late 2011. He got his pancreatic cancer diagnosis a few months later, and by June 2012 he was dead. So, I don't exactly have fond memories of Iowa. Amana Colonies reminded me a lot of Frankenmuth (Michigan's faux-Bavarian resort town).

Hmph. I always thought it was named after Alonzo Cornell. Until today, I never paid attention to the timelines between the school’s founding and when Alonzo Cornell was stuffing his pockets.

TIL...

Alonzo B. Cornell was the son of Ezra Cornell

So, a Failson. Which given the preponderance of multi-generational family decline at the Ivies (and I'm sure everywhere else), tracks.

Further proof they should have named us after the intelligent guy (Andrew Dixon White) and not the rich guy (Ezra).

Yeah.....but I'm kinda glad I didn't go to "White University."

Rule Changes for 2025-26.

Biggest one is referees now have more discretion on facemask penalties.
So, high sticking…is that “normal standing position” compared to while barefoot, while wearing a pair of Chuck Taylor All-Stars, or while on skates? The answer may seem obvious, but somebody at UND is sure to cause this debate while arguing against the ref within a game. And their stance will differ based upon which way they’re trying to cheat.

The playing the puck with a high stick rule is stupid. The amount of skill involved with deflecting a puck, even when above your shoulders, is amazing. Call penalties for hitting people with high sticks, but all goals should count no matter how high the stick is when it's deflected.

Hear, hear. I don't think it's too late - the refs are *still* reviewing Cornell's possible goal against UNH in the 2003 NCAA semifinal.....
