NCAA Hockey - 2023/24 **Insert Witty Tagline**

Looks like Wisconsin is past their slow start. 4-0 over UM last night. First time Michigan has been shutout three straight in 82 years.

Missed the MSU-MN game last night, but glad MSU was able to steal a point back in the standings on the road.

And don’t look now, but Long Island is knocking on the door for an at-large bid sitting at 21st right now. They’re going to run into the issue Alaska did a couple years ago needing to win most or all of their games as the strongest team left is Wisconsin and they still have Stonehill for 5 more along with 4 against Lindenwood and UAA. Can’t afford to lose any of those.

Michigan should focus on hockey instead of MMA

I wouldn't call that a choke. The Gophers looked gassed after having to play with only 3 lines for 6 straight periods, and that's a very good MSU team.

Hard to have any takeaways from this series given we had half a team.

MSU is an impressive team that's going to be a team to watch In the postseason

One last chunk of non conference that can really shake up the pairwise still coming with the holiday tournaments, but for right now here is the field if we go straight seeding/ignore hosting:

1. BC vs. 31. Bentley
8. Lowell vs 9. Michigan

2. Michigan State vs. 15. UConn
7. Denver vs. 10 BU

3. Maine vs 14. UNH
6. Providence vs 11. St Cloud

4 Minnesota vs 13. Minnesota State
5. Western Michigan vs 12. Ohio State

Wow. Hopefully wakes up a few donors in Vegas.

The box score is pretty wild. UNLV was up 5-1 before Denver scored 5 in the third. Final shots were 64-17. Seems like the only thing DU did differently than a normal game was splitting their goalies, but based on how many goals they gave up they probably would’ve changed them anyway.

Caught a little bit of Ferris-Alaska and Ferris was horrendous. It’s been bad for a while now and the university doesn’t seem to be putting any pressure on Daniels. I have nothing to base it on but I really hope they aren’t just letting Daniel ride it out to retirement and then shutter the program. Football and basketball have had tons of success lately while they’ve let their flagship sport wither seemingly without care.

Western beat Tech in overtime. Impressed with MTU - they're a lot better than the last time we saw them at the GLI.

The speed of Western's Top 6 and winning a majority of the faceoffs seemed to be the difference for you. But we played from behind the entire night and I could see after tying it up and forcing OT that Tech looked tired.
