Good shot there by Jaime Rasmussen with a few seconds left but again she winds fires and the puck barely moves. :confused:

Another OT.

Does the extra session at this juncture favor cornell since they played OT Friday or favor UMD since they are probably a bit fresher in the legs department??

I'm pulling for Cornell, but I think a lot of things have to favor UMD right now.

They are deeper, more experienced, and playing in a relatively familiar environment not far from home.

At the same time, Cornell has nothing to lose, and sometimes that's the seat you want to be sitting in.

Since they weren't shy with the whistle (late) in the 3rd period of an NCAA Championship game, I hope the refs don't suddenly swallow it in OT.

I've always hated when refs "let them play" just because it's the playoffs; a penalty is a penalty. But it is worse if they call it early in the game, only to let it go late and/or in overtime.

You never know what your getting with Lick doing the game...

One period he calls everything, next lets them play, third might be either or...

One of the worst in the history of the WCHA...

21 Canada, 14 USA, 3 Finland, 1 Germany

If lick iis from tyhe WCHA, why is he doing the game? Should be a CHA or Hockey east ref set....at least the men have a non-conference ref do the finals......great for Cornell to do as well as they are...I'm sure they'll be bummed if they lose...for about 5 minutes with all the firsts they've done for the program....Go BIG RED.....

Just wanted to say thanks for the updates. Following from my bberry. Husband agreed to pick me up from after the game. Sure hope it doesn't go as long as the UW-Harvard play-off game did a few years ago.

Announcers talk about Cornell's stamina....seems like they had the better of play after the 10 minute mark of the 2OT....UMD makes better play set-ups whereas Cornell looks to crash the net with the puck....just putting it on net..how can we get people that don't know about this great women's game, overall, not just this game, to realize hw great this stuff is? Brilliant stuff....
