NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Or if they fall down 2-1 in a series they could have their own little civil war.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

OK, serious question.

Is there anything in the NBA rules that says that Russian billionaire who just bought the Nets can't also buy a minor league baseball team and offer LeBron, Wade etc all contracts to "play baseball" in addition to their NBA salary? It would be against the spirit of the rules, but is there an actual rule forbidding that?

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

One of the local radio stations is ruminating about the Heat somehow grabbing Wade, LeBron, Nowitzki, and Bosch and becoming Super Team. That would be fun. And impossible.

The best they can pull off it three of them. But that's pretty much impossible as well.

Strong rumors today that the Bulls have the inside track to Wade and Bosh.

Should be an interesting meeting tomorrow with LeBron.

Either way the Bulls are looking like they are in PRIME position to score big in this.

I really think Bosh is almost a foregone conclusion and then they'll either get Wade or LeBron to go with him.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Sadly, Rudy Gay re-upped w/ Memphis. I wanted to see the T-wolves sign him - that'd have led to a potential Gay-Love combo.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

He only gave them a $16 million dollar break from his possible max deal.

I hope they got some more money, because $4 mil a year isn't going to bring in any top end talents to help Dirk.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Sources: Bosh and Wade to the Heat.
Sources: LeBron to announce his decision Thursday with hour-long special on ESPN.
I love that an ESPN reporter, on ESPN, has to quote anonymous sources about programming on ESPN.

Sources: Sun will rise in west tomorrow.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

I'm excited for the NBA Free Agency orgy to end... with everyone returning to their teams (except for Bosh and Stoudimiare, apparently).

I hope LeBron's special involves him helping Linus find the Great Pumpkin.

Want to see a bunch of heads explode at ESPN? Start a Brett Favre-related rumor about a half hour before the LeBron show, and watch them try and figure out which story should be covered more :D
