NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

That's an insult to Scottie Pippen.

Edit: the MN-Miami trade is final; MN gives up two second round picks for Beasley. Good lord, that is highway robbery.

And if this wasnt bizarre enough...

Jesse Jackson makes his voice heard

“He speaks as an owner of LeBron and not the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers,” the reverend said in a release from his Chicago-based civil rights group, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. “His feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave. This is an owner employee relationship—between business partners—and LeBron honored his contract.”
Did he mention when hockey fans get their reparations for having to watch LeBronathon for weeks and weeks?

Our kids will be asking us why this generations Scottie Pippen got his own show.
:D

Sadly he probably wouldn't have fined him at all if Jesse Jackson hadn't said something about it. He certainly doesn't want the negative attention on his league.
He's way too late if negative attention was all he cared about.

ha. for which team?

minnesota also just picked up 2 first round picks for al jefferson. could this finally be the start of the turnaround from that horrific botch job that was the garnett trade.

Even with Beasley's personal problems, I'd like to think he adds more value to a roster than two second round picks - particularly since 2nd rounders don't usually make the team.

They're protected picks, so MN better hope for relatively deep drafts.

Posnanski's awesome take on Dan Gilbert's open letter
But whatever the reason it is true that the font really makes a huge difference in how people read the words. It actually MAKES the words. Don't believe me? Look: Here is how Gilbert's key words look in Comic Sans:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED 'KING' WINS ONE"

And here is how those words look in a more staid font like, say, Franklin Gothic:

"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter -- tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther ... And one fine morning --

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

Bunch of haters the old schoolers are. Bird, Magic, MJ were not friends. They hated each other and wanted to beat each other as often as they could. LeBron, DWade, and Bosh are all good friends so they want to play together. They are NOT rivals competing for championships like Bird, Magic, and MJ were. It is a completely different situation and I am sick of hearing the old guys talk about what they did or didn't do. The time is NOW and LCD is where it's at. Haters gonna hate! -jlafara
