Yup, the Charlotte Hornets got moved to NO and Charlotte got a new team called the Bobcats.

The Charlotte Hornets had some unexplainable aura of coolness for some reason when I was a kid. All the cool kids had rooms full of Hornets stuff and wore Alonzo Mourning or Larry Johnson jerseys. Maybe it was the colors or the fact the Pistons sucked then, I don't know. The Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic also carried cool points.

the same thing happened in Dracut, mostly because the C's were trotting out 70 year old Robert Parish, the the ghost of Kevin McHale, Reggie Lewis and the immortal Allah Abdulnaby (sic?)

Yeah but then five years later the Hornets trotted out a 75 year-old Robert Parish. Come on, you know you want an old school Hornets jersey with 00 PARISH on it.

Yep. I had a Penny Hardaway jersey in middle school.

At this point why have a league. None of the players want to earn a championship on their own, they want to combine with other stars and sleepwalk their way to one. Let's just have 4 superteams play a single elimination tournament and have that be it. More attention for hockey!
