NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Lost in all the Breen/JVG/Jackson sniping is that Artest did not appear to go for the ball on that play and instead just shoved Garnett and knocked him over.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Celtics by 13. They're shooting lights out, but offensive rebounds for LA and a heavy dose of Bryant in the third quarter have kept the Lakers competitive.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

We are getting ******* killed at the end of quarters. Get the ball out of Pierce's hands!

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

If Celtics get the title this year, Rondo has to be MVP.

Every time I watch he is keeping his team alive in the game.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Ray Allen is just brutal from outside. Did that really touch the rim? Perkins is also a problem out there offensively. They have few options other than the Pierce Clogget Toilet offense, and that's a recipe for disaster.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

It’s a series now. Two shots to close it out in LA. If Bynum remains at 70%, they could perhaps pull it off. I still don’t like their chances, but it’s possible now.

How about Phil Jackson telling his team basically: “The Celtics know how to lose”? I mean, he’s absolutely 100% correct, with all the facts on his side, but Doc should play that over and over as bulletin board material anyway.

If the Celtics are going to win this series, they need to do something about their end-of-quarter offense. It is an abortion and must be corrected by Tuesday night. It is very correctable and must get done.

Ray Allen needs to show up too, of course.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Kobe Bryant is putting up one of the greatest one quarter performances in NBA history.

He is and was in another world, how some of those shots go in is beyond me and apparently beyond DWade. Its unreal, one 3 pointer was 6 feet above the line. I can't stand him but the guy can play

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

They've done well to win three games in this series despite how erratically most of their best players have played. It'll be interesting to see if they can close out a deciding game. Perkins and Rondo cannot go to the line, so that really limits them, and when things get tight they clear out for Pierce and that doesn't work anymore.

But then, here they are one win from Championship No. 18. You have to figure Kobe is getting every call Tuesday night, though, and I'll be shocked if this doesn't go seven.

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

Oh, and KG had a great game last night. If he continues to show up like that and shut down Pau they have a good shot.

Good. That's Boston's strategy and I don't think LA can win like that. Didn't work last night.

How is that different than any other night?
The key is Bynum, if he continues to wince every time he lands from a jump, 18 isn't far behind. Gasol and Odom are dead, had the crap beat out of them by Celts big men.

I'm shocked the Celts are still playing, remember the regular season?

The what?:p

I still think Gasol could have a big game or two at home, but the more shots Odom and Artest take, the better the C's chances are.

Gasol could but with Bynum out its not as likely. I love how the talking heads said Gasol took 08 to heart and he's going to be tough underneath and he has been with Bynum in there. But its not like he loves that physical stuff like Big Baby does or Artest does. He's small forward in a power forwards frame

Re: NBA 2009-2010: More ref complaints

I think the NBA trots out the "Eff You, Bill Simmons" lineup of Bavetta, Salvatore and Rush to force this thing to 7.
