I stumbled on this article and found it interesting:


The Spartans face other challenges this week in dealing with the Olympic-size surface, which is 15 feet wider than Munn Arena, and a talented NMU team that is finally playing well.

Comley ranks Wildcats junior forward Mark Olver (10-9-1) and junior defensman and co-captain Erik Gustafsson (2-12-14) as among the best in the nation. Olver is a former junior teammate of MSU goalie Drew Palmisano in Omaha of the USHL.

"Olver has the whole package. He skates well, he's strong and can shoot and has a good feel for the game,'' Comley said.


Does our friend Rick not realize that Greger Hanson has been a HUGE presence in our offense in recent weeks?! He's gonna be in for a nice surprise!

Oh there you go again Rage - always pulling out the "Why did Comley pull my scholarship - what a two-faced ahole!" card. Guess what? It's a brutal business and no matter what you think you know, you don't know the whole story or you know one side of the story. If a kid can't take it he shouldn't be at this level.

NMU has 7 d-men getting playing time, with 2 red-shirting this year. No room at the inn.

Time for Olver to start another goal-scoring streak. Should be 2 fun games to watch this weekend.

For the record, MSU flew to Marquette today. They always do, except for last years playoff when the CCHA controls the travel arrangements.

I hope their annual to bi-annual tour of the wooden dome wears them down more than that flight.
