This is could get lengthy after my first try:

Any Shōwa era Godzilla movie
No Country for Old Men
Seven Samurai
Goodfellows/Casino
Tommy Boy
Chinatown
French Connection
Jaws
Hoosiers

If my wife is paying attention:

My Cousin Vinny
Thor
Forrest Gump
Armageddon (I prefer Deep Impact)
Top Gun

Made the girlfriend watch Airplane! tonight. She hated it. I might need to move out...

Girls are bad at Airplane!

c.f. Three Stooges.

Dr. Mrs. doesn't like Red Dwarf forgodsake.

Girls are cute and all, but don't trust their taste in bad entertainment. They're too refined or something.

Ya I was referring to the new release movie “promising young woman” which was just...

a little jarring

So far I've read negative reviews by the kind of people who I take negative reviews to be a sign of a good movie. I don't think it's going to play well in Palookaville. But I'm pretty much sure it's not intended to.

Is Leonard Maltin dead? This might do it.

Oh, it’s not intended to. I want to watch it again, just not sure I’m ready to?
what’s funny is they’ve taken actors who have played such wholesome roles (Connie Britton, Alison Brie, Adam Brody, Kathryn Coolidge) and that’s not what they play here.

the ending will bother many, but it worked for me.

My wife hated Spy Hard which was the first movie I ever took her to see. Not sure how we survived.

I remember liking it. I was also 13 at the time, so I'm curious if it would hold up now. Wrongfully Accused had some good moments too. It was 2001: A Space Travesty where it really got bad.
