My only nits with the review are:

1. Lord Dark Helmet was always a bad as-s. We're just used to all the parodies now.

2. There was nothing redeeming in I.

3. IV is far and away the best of the set.

Hopscotch

....if Kepler wrote a script for a cia movie!

walter matthau, Ned beatty, Sam waterson, Herbert lom

assassination
charles bronson as a secret service guarding his wife as the first lady. ugh

escape from la
they should have waited longer to make the follow up to escape from ny. this was very bad.

munich
bond reunion flix with daniel craig along with dominic greene and hugo drax. enjoyable (as far as one can with movies like this).

Big missed opportunity, that's for sure.

They have talked about Escape from Earth for two decades. They need to make it before Russell is too old.

Malone - Burt Reynolds is ex-cia hit man in Oregon who comes up against a nationalist hotbed strongman.
need mookie say more?

black mama white mama - Pam Grier escapes from a Philippines prison chained to a revolutionary
hilarity ensues

I watched the documentary on The Go Go's last night, titled fittingly, The Go Go's.

It was actually pretty enjoyable. As documentaries go, it was pretty short (much like The Go Go's career, I suppose), but painted a pretty candid picture of their origin as a band and their break up a handful of years later.

I would say the highlight of the movie is the old film footage and pictures from the LA punk rock scene in the late 70's.

If you have 90 minutes to kill, it's worth a look.

It's hilarious to me that the single most successful act to come out of the hardest core punk scene in the US -- a scene that made the East Coast look like Iowa -- was a bubblegum T&A band. At least two of those girls had genuine punk street cred too.

Episode V hit #1 in the box office this summer. Drive-in theaters have been showing re-runs, a number of older ones by the look of it, and ESB hit #1 in gross with about $420k gross.

When they ruined the end of ROTJ by replacing the song (we wont even get into the Anakin replacing of the later "fix" ) that was a step too far!!

Green Room. Jean Luc Picard as a Nazi! Punk band unknowingly books gig at Neo-Nazi compound. Hilarity does not ensue. Excellent horror-drama, far, far better than you'd expect; A-. Pros: well shot (I'm actually not kidding), excellent premise, great suspense. Only con: lazy gratuitous gore detracts from otherwise realistic, scary atmosphere.
