While not a movie, he was perfect for House Of Cards. His dry delivery cemented that role.

Perfect in Glengarry Glen Ross. That whole movie is perfectly cast except Pacino stunk the joint up as usual. No idea how that guy has gotten work the last 20 years.

Spacey was good as the heavy in Baby Driver too. And he was a hoot in Swimming with Sharks although now... ew, that has not aged well.

Reputation/big name.

Reputation/big name.

Like Nicholson, yeah. Big draw. Both of them are cautionary tales -- could have been excellent actors (especially Nicholson) but took the easy (albeit lucrative) way out and wound up self-parodies. Brando may have wound up a fat turd but at least he still took some chances.

He was excellent as the neurotic, hanging on to his career by a thread, ego feeding, scamming a**hole, in the movie Simone.

They both have big heads. And I don't mean that in ego terms. They both have, like, comically large heads now.

LOL. Welles had that near the end, too. We may have found a trend.

Pacino had Dog Day Afternoon. Nicholson had Five Easy Pieces. Those roles showed what they could be. But success really f-cked them and they wound up bloated cautionary tales.

I would never in a million years have guessed Leo DeCaprio would wind up a better actor than either of them, but here we are.

Pacino in Scarface was good.

Watched The Wicker Man (1973) on Netflix last night. That was...weird and unsettling, yet oddly compelling. Whoever wrote the music for that film was doing ALL of the drugs at the time.

I love that movie and my god Britt Ekland.

I highly recommend the remake with Nic Cage. Haha, no I really don't. It's Nic Cage-level bad on steroids, oxy and crack.
