I never understood people's obsession with Fight Club. I saw it once, enjoyed it and never thought twice about it after.

Same here. I thought it was overrated.I never understood people's obsession with Fight Club. I saw it once, enjoyed it and never thought twice about it after.
I had no interest in it at all, but this guy I live with is really into violence and kind of changed my thinking.
Does he make soap?

You know a guy like that?
So I think my low bar of expectation helped the end result of me liking it.
Freejack ruled in the same that The Last Boy Scout ruled. Neither is a great movie for any other reason than I enjoy every minute of it every time I watch it.

My daughter is watching Frozen again. There's a twisted part of me that wants to end the movie right when Anna turns to ice and you hear Elsa weeping while everyone watches aghast. Just fade to black and a somber "Let It Go" right before Anna starts to thaw.
Probably a sign that I should start getting her to watch other movies.
It's not even that I dislike Frozen, or think it's not a really good kids movie. I've just seen it too ****ed much.
For me that movie is Freejack. My friends and I went to a midnight showing in Boston, possibly wasted, assuming it was going to be the worst movie ever made -- a solid F. But it turns out it's a D with aspirations towards C minus. I think I may have never enjoyed a movie evening more. Although, again, there may have been other reasons for that.
Fight Club was also the second-most misleadingly advertised movie ever, after The Village. The former turned into a huge cult hit; the latter I guess not so much, though it ought to be.
Identity (John Cusack, Ray Liotta) was also VERY misleading. I loved it. It is NOT your standard slasher movie as one would think after seeing promos for it.
