MN @ UND: tArrogance vs ___________

Re: MN @ UND: tArrogance vs ___________

Given UM's puzzling inconsistency, the good guys could get 2 or 3 pts out of this weekend, if Dell is solid. But if there are any three-goal margines, UND won't be on top.

I know this is off topic but whats the story with Zach Lawdermilt a senior forward on east grand forks high school team. I have been reading some stuff about him, sounds like he is one hell of a hockey player. Has he committed any where? if not what schools are after him?

Just thought since he is from MN and this is the MN vs SUE board and Grand Forks is just across the river someone might know what the future holds for this kid!

oh by the way GOPHER SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: MN @ UND: tArrogance vs ___________

I think you underestimate the "old as f2ck" posters who write 5 paragraph manifests that no one reads.......also, occasionally Rinkpig stops by for his welfare check. In any case you need to realize you are arguing with mostly middle to late age men who drank themselves out of a job or two, masturbate to squirter porn, and have more hair on their backs than their heads.

Sioux Sweep.

Difficult to get excited over a team you own. How about you troll in your own thread? Dirty can stay, though, it IS his team.

Curious to see how FSN handles the lack of nickname this weekend. I hope they keep calling them the fighting sioux by mistake.

Sadly, I don't think it will happen. I get the feeling they will competely toe the line and stop referring to them as the Sioux. asfiac eff their fans, but the program should be able to retain the nickname.

Re: MN @ UND: tArrogance vs ___________

coming from the guy that implied i didnt even think they should play the games because i predicted the gophers would do well. speaking of not posting anymore.. can you stop? 53000 posts. 11 posts a day since you registered in 1999. about one post every hour and a half that youve been awake in those 13 years. and youre NOT getting paid for this.

oh thats right. you live in north dakota.

Here it is again. Dubbs wants me to start posting and jerry wants me to stop posting. You two should get together and make up your minds.

Re: MN @ UND: tArrogance vs ___________

Zach L. is very talented with amazing speed/goalscoring ability. Some in town say he is the fastest player ever to play for EGF. He was injured for much of his junior season and is under the radar a bit. More than likely he will end up in the USHL for a season.

Have to admit, I haven't seen him play. The players I've been following closely this year (a part from Gopher commits Kloos - Lakeville South, Lettieri - Minnetonka, Nanne - Edina, Brodzinski - Blaine, and Bischoff - Grand Rapids) are Gersich - Holy Family, Randolph - Duluth East, and Coatta - Minnetonka.

No no. JDUBBS didn't want you to start posting again. No one wants you to post at all.:p DUBBS just wanted to know why the absence after the Gopher sweep earlier this year and the reappearance now that the Fighting Sio...oops, I mean UND is kinda starting their second half surge while Minnesota is struggling of late.

Preview from Gophersports

Minnesota Vs. North Dakota: Rivals Minnesota and North Dakota will meet for the 285th and 286th times when UM plays a regular-season series in Grand Forks, N.D. for the 62nd time in the last 64 years. Though the Golden Gophers hold the all-time series lead with a 142-128-14 record, UND has the edge in its own building with a 76-64-8 home-ice mark.

After splitting last year's lone series at North Dakota, Minnesota earned its first regular-season home sweep against UND since Nov. 8-9, 1996 with 2-0 and 3-2 wins at Mariucci Arena on Nov. 4-5. Neither team has completed a four-game regular-season series sweep in the rivalry since the Gophers accomplished the feat in 1991-92.

About North Dakota: North Dakota got off to a slow start in defending its second MacNaughton Cup in three years in 2011-12. After winning WCHA regular season and playoff titles and reaching the Frozen Four last year, UND began the year with a 4-7-1 record and a 2-6-0 in the conference. However, since Nov. 25, UND has gone 7-1-1 and has not lost in regulation despite facing injury problems.

North Dakota has also climbed six spots in the WCHA standings by winning five of its last six league contests. Sophomore Brock Nelson (15g-9a) and junior Danny Kristo (11g-13a) lead the team in scoring with 24 points each and junior Corban Knight (6g-15a) leads the team in assists and points per game (1.17). Nelson also leads the nation in power-play goals with nine. UND has a strong defensive core led by freshman Nick Mattson (5g-8a), sophomore Dillon Simpson (0g-11a), senior Ben Blood (2g-8a), and sophomore U.S. World Junior Team member Derek Forbort (1g-3a).

Between the pipes junior All-WCHA netminder Aaron Dell has appeared in 19 games, going 8-7-2 with a 2.77 goals against average and a .894 save percentage. Senior backup Brad Eidsness (2.43 GAA, .918 save percentage) is 3-1-0 in five games played.

What? Hockey talk in this thread? Is that permitted?

ETA: What to the Fighting _____ fans think about the goalie situation? Eidsness looks to have better numbers but it's a limited sample. Who has actually looked better in games and who should get the starts?

The only way Eidsness gets a start is if Dell gets pulled or has a shaky Saturday night. Both of which could easily happen given the number of injuries UND currently has but as Dave said "no one is peaking over the hedges to see who is or is not playing, they show up and go to work no matter what" so no excuses for losses or bad play.
