Not liking this so I'll throw this out there to change topic and fan the flames.

I think the 1929 championship is way more important and should have the same relevance as the 2003 championship.

That has to rev someone up. Go!

The 29 and 40 banners should have their own spot in the rafters and be displayed ahead of and more prominently than the NCAA banners. They're more important.

I think Gurt should try and make the point that Minnesota isn't the "State of Hockey" just because the Gophers haven't sold out every game the last few years. It was fun talking about just how foolish of a position that was :D

Anything to get more than 5 up there. With all the heaps of tradition, 5 is a little embarrassing even for visitors. It's like being invited for dinner to a house where the host is incontinent. I mean, it's good to know the guy is never going to put a successful move on your wife, but you still feel for the guy. It's why folks start leaving half way through the third.

How about broom ball? Or is that what the '29 and '40 banners are for?

What the...? Wow, I don't even know where to go with that one.

Actually the corpies leave in the 3rd because we are usually winning and the 3rd was our best period. The outcome of the game is a forgone conclusion and there is plenty of traffic to beat from our sold out rink.
