I'm not sure I can admit to understanding one of those evil red's to our east... but do see we likely have similar views about message board practices. Ugh... that still felt just wrong.

Sounds like it. I still don't see how that proves anything.

They have 7 national championship banners hanging.

Six of them - 1940, 1974, 1976, 1979, 2002, 2003 are the same color and are all side-by-side.

The 1929 championship banner is a different color and isn't hanging with the others.

Clearly, the University of Minnesota holds this championship in the same regards as the NCAA championships.

That is really all that matters to me.

"Since Minne hangs AAU championship banners as well as NCAA championship banners they appear to value them equally. Wouldn't it then follow that if they hang NCAA runner-up banners, they should also hang AAU runner-up banners? Or, conversely, if they don't hang both NCAA and AAU runner-up banners, they don't value them equally, and, therefor, shouldn't hang AAU championship banners." That is the logic that people are trying to get to - the dots that mnsofh hasn't been able to connect.

No I'm not. I have called out JDUBBS as much as anyone else has. His endless rants are as annoying, if not more, to Minnesota fans as they are to anyone else because they make us look bad.

I called you out for trying to start him up again. And the other guy called me out, so I responded.

I have no problems with you Gurt. I just don't know why you keep feeding him. Yeah, it's just in this thread right now, but soon it's in every season thread again. If you ignore him, he goes away. Hopefully permanently.

I don't know why they don't hang a AAU runner-up banner, but they hang the 1940 championship banner right beside the NCAA championship banners, and they are the same color. The 1929 championship banner hangs separately and is a different color.

This is enough evidence for me to believe that my school values the 1940 championship as much as it does it's NCAA championships, which is all I really care about.
