Bah, the WW I Gustav Gun was a toy. Even in WW II battleships such as the HMS Rodney were throwing 9 shells at a time weighing 2000 lbs each, far more than that wimpy Gustav with its 264 lb shells.

Sioux cannonade/fussilade/destruction.

Better. I'm kind of surprised the Sioux didn't want to put their foot on the Gophers necks and finish them off. Either they got lazy or Minnesota played a lot better. Probably a little of both. 1 point is better than none. See you guys at Mariucci later.

Minnesota played signficantly better, and each team had chances to win the game. Ultimately, I think a tie was probably the right result.

I'd like to think that but I think the Gophers should have stole one and would have if they had enough finishers on the team. Genoway plays for the Sioux and the Gophers have none of what he has right now.

In the 2nd period scrum, wasn't it Gleason who Lucia put in a headlock and ripped his helmet off? And didn't all five guys for both teams end up in the box? So why wasn't Gleason in the box? Or did I totally miss something.:confused:

The last minute of the 3rd was cardiac arrest inducing.

Gleason was in the box after that scrum.
The TV showed him adjusting his helmet to put it back on.

I figured it was something like that. They announced MacWilliam as getting a penalty. They also said Rowney got the double-minor and he was sitting on the Sioux bench. Sheppard and Hunt must have still been hung over or something.

Far different game tonite. The goofers played much better, won the faceoffs and beat the Sioux to the puck. It seemed the Sioux players stood around waiting for someone to go to the puck or took a defensive position that allowed a rush that didn't need to happen. It was an entertaining game, especially toward the end.

What were the penalties that they called on that scrum? We were watching at a bar and couldn't hear the announcers.

Double Minors for Sachetti and Gleason(WTH?). Minors for Fairchild, Lucia, Hansen, Ness and Malone, Hextall, Trupp, MacWilliam.

Seriously, how in the hell does Gleason get a double-minor for being put in a headlock while Lucia only gets a minor. That literally does not make sense.
