Re: MN Golden Gopher 2010 Offseason Thread

I have to disagree. This injury didn't happen in the second half of his USHL season.

I think you're right on here. "IF" it is a growth plate injury, surgery can easily correct that and it usually takes several weeks to heal. At his age, my understanding is these injuries are not as serious as when they occur in early childhood development. If it's not a growth plate injury the time frame for healing is much less. My bet is he'll be in Omaha this coming season.

I agree and he also won't be playing for the Gophers for another 15 months or so anyway.

Here's the latest update on Ben Marshall's injury. He does shoot left, but from this report it sounds like the injury may not be as serious as originally thought. If so, good break.;)

Here's a recent story for you guys on Erik Haula. The article indicates he'll be spending time with Jacob Cepis....future linemate?

Great, not only is this upcoming season over, but so is the one after it.

The sarcasm to Scoob's usual doomsday mindset really wasn't obvious?

I like that halfway point of the season when Slap Shot goes bonkers on everyone for being too negative and tells us to stop watching. Yes, I am amused by weird things.

Hey now, bonkers is a bit much and sue me if I don't care for negativity rather than constructive criticism. :D ;)
