MLB 2022: Playing Ball, But Is Anyone Still Watching?

Tim Wakefield passed away from brain cancer this weekend, at a time when his wife is battling with pancreatic cancer. Tim was one of the good guys - the 2010 Roberto Clemente Award winner - and I'm so bummed. Win or lose, he was a stand up man and the world is a little less without him in it.

Meanwhile, in enraging news, he had been keeping it private. So former World Series hero-turned MAGA chud Curt Schilling outs him last week and calls him selfish for keeping it private. Thanks Curt, you raging *******, for making Tim's last days on earth filled with stress. Take your bloody sock and shove it up your MAGA ***.

On the day Tim Wakefield passed away, George Kirby broke out a knuckleball. ❤️ - YouTube

Meanwhile, the Mariners held their end of season press conference and basically said “Yeah, we’re not gonna make any big signings. We’re just going to stay the course.”

And now most of Seattle is rage stroking at the Mariners ownership and management.

Again.

After saying “he operates with a 10-year plan to win 54% of the time. We're actually doing the fanbase a favor in asking for their patience to win the World Series while we continue to build a sustainably good roster.” I’m surprised he’s not.

I’m not going to pretend I know much about baseball so I really have no feelings on this and just leave this for discussion.
