Twins hit six home runs to break the record for homers in a season tonight against the Tigers...with still a month left in the season. However, they fall to Detroit 10-7. The six home runs in a loss was one shy of the record.

I like Joe Maddon, and he got the Cubs the banner they have been waiting for since the crucifixion. But if he doesn't turn it around enough to both make the playoffs and get past the first round, he's a goner, IMO. And I'd be OK with that. They're not going to get a person with his personality, which I would miss.

It was supposed to be 80 games, but on appeal, he convinced MLB that it wasn't to mask a PED, so the suspension was reduced. Still, that being said.....
