If I am understanding correctly, the balls are air-conditioned until needed.

MLBPA filed a grievance against the Rays, Marlins, Pirates for being too cheap. Of course, the league doesn't think it has merit.

I am flip-flopping on this. They are (possibly) looking ahead to future FAs. Then again, the Marlins have a history of fire sales.

Apparently the MLB owners didn’t learn anything from the collusion cases in the 80’s...

There’s no need to flip-flop, the owners have been proven to have colluded against players in the past. It’s not a stretch of the imagination to believe they’re doing it again.

I think they learned they could get away with it.

Step 1: Conspire to save billions
Step 2: Get caught and pay back millions in fines
Step 3: PROFIT!
