The collusion cases lead directly to the strike in 1994, which is a shot the game hasn’t really recovered from. So yeah, it cost them.

I’d say they learned to cover their tracks so it can’t be proven.

A top 3 of Santana, Berrios, Odorizzi isn't terrible. There's still talk of them signing Alex Cobb. If they don't they'll have plenty of options to fill those 4-5 spots: Gibson, Mejia, Hughes, Sanchez, Jorge, Duffy, Slegers, Gonsalves. Out of that group, I'm confident they can find 1 serviceable arm, maybe it is one of the young guys breaking through, maybe Gibson or Mejia are better (both have plenty of potential). I'm not nearly as worried about the rotation as I was before the Odorizzi trade.

I always thought the car sponsors negotiated deals to have their cars replace the bullpen baseballs, and then when (predictably) everybody hated the cars they just killed it all off.

Marketing: the cause of and solution to all of life's problems.

bullpen cart hasn't seen usage since jake borrowed one to stalk his ex wife (again)

Yeah, I saw that after I read the article. I only remembered the Toyota.

My attitude on them was what was mentioned in the article -- they are professional athletes and they can't jog in a few dozen yards?
