So which Satellite/Cable provider is offering the games locally? The blackout rules are asinine. There is no reason for Guam, American Samoa, Hawaii, or Iowa to be blacked out with their distance from an MLB team.

I think even Anchorage is blacked out from Mariners games. Because there are so many Mariners fans in Anchorage that can just make a quick trip to Safeco field...

Isn't this TV rights area? IE SF cable must be available in Guam so you can buy fox SF in Guam and watch Giants and As there via that

It's beautiful seeing an MLB game (albeit Exhibition) being once again played at Stade Olympique in Montreal. :)

According to DirecTV' local regional sportsnet lookup tool, the Guam zip codes are not home to any pro sports teams (that DirecTV knows of). Although DirecTV says that American Samoa is home to FS West (LA Angels, LA Kings) and Prime Ticket (Anaheim Ducks, LA Clippers).

does anyone know if there's an Extra Innings free preview going on? I can't find anything online, but they usually have one the first week of the season.

Braves trade Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton Jr. to Padres in 7-player swap

Is there anybody left on the Padres who was with them at the end of last year? It feels like they've cycled the entire team.

One of life's little pleasures is listening to Vin Scully. The man is a national treasure.

True. We're considered part of the Mariners market area. It's only a 3 and a half hour flight...

On this day in baseball
April 7, 1969
First Major League save in history was recorded by Bill Singer (3 IP) of the Dodgers @ Cincinnati. Don Drysdale got the W.

Thanks to Vin Scully. He was there.

I can't find it, and ARGH! But in the last 100 years or so, there has NOT been a baseball game not involving Scully and one other person (the other person is the one I've had trouble finding). That is amazing.
