Lots of marathon games, it seems like. Weren't there a couple 14~ inning games earlier this week? And a couple weeks ago, there was that marathon college game, too.

Into the 20 now. Someone give these Mets fans free tickets because no one should have to endure 20 innings of the Marlins.

It's doing wonders for my pitching in fantasy baseball (Slowey, who has pitched 7 innings in relief, is on both of my squads). :)

In another feel-good story of the draft, the Dbacks picked a player in the 34th round who became paralyzed 2 years ago in his 3rd game at Arizona State. They also mentioned how they hope to bring him into the organization in some employment office role, not just pick him in the draft and forget about him.

He was picked in the 34th round because he wore #34 at ASU.

Also, Andy Pettite picked up career win 250, and the Yankees selected his son in the draft. The yanks have also picked Paul O'Neill's nephew in an earlier round.

Wow, if Marmol continues to cash the Cubs' paychecks, he should be charged with theft. He's awful.
