Congratulations to the Yankees! According to Elias, no team has ever scored seven or more runs in three straight games and lost them all! Most impressive. Go for four tomorrow!

Most of the season, the issue was not being able to score enough runs to win. Now we can't keep the other team from scoring runs.

2 ugly games in the Bronx in what will most likely be my only trip up here this year. Also, Jeter had a precautionary CT scan on his ankle, results came back negative. He was pinch ran for somewhere in the middle of today's game, which I thought was weird, and not good to see.

When your bullpen has numbers that look like defensive tackles, you're in trouble.

Pittsburgh working on getting a sweep in Texas (4-0 in 5th). That would be pretty big considering the high quality of opponents they have faced down the stretch.

Although sometimes they do struggle with the Cubs who are coming to town for 4 games. Its probably the easiest series they will have.

Cubs, Padres, Reds, Cubs, Reds to finish

The Phillies will be playing a home game vs the Marlins at 7:05 on the Friday of the Frozen Four. Unfortunately, the Saturday game is also at 7:05. For those getting into town early, the Phillies are hosting Milwaukee at 7:05 on Wednesday.

You don't see bunts for doubles too often, but Cano just did it against the overshifted Red Sox defense.

Sox went up 4 - 0, Yanks tied it, and then in the bottom of the 7th, Salty went BOOM! with the bases loaded.

Sox win 8 - 4.

Very cool to see Cano bunt for a double against the shift tonight. Smart, well executed baseball.

Some big matchups this weekend... PIT/CIN, TEX/KC and TB/BAL. Chance to make up some ground for the Os and Royals.

NL seems pretty much done, except for the order in the Central.

Andy Pettitte just announced that he is retiring at the end of this season. That leaves Jeter as the only remaining member of the Core Four and his future is in doubt.
