MLB 2011 Post-Season: Who misses the NBA?

Re: MLB 2011 Post-Season: Who misses the NBA?

ETA: And just think how dull that last night of the regular season would have been had Atlanta Tampa and Boston already known going in they were headed to playoff baseball. One of the wilder final days of an MLB season in my memory.

Everyone brings that up, but I remember hearing that it was the first time in MLB history something like that happened. So, they're taking away something that happens once every 130 years. We saw it once, it was great, but it probably would have never happened again, or we would've had to wait until 2140.

But that's the point. Why eliminate the chance of seeing a once-in-a-lifetime finish to the regular season? That's like not caring if someone makes a bad call while your favorite pitcher has a perfect game going for 8 2/3 innings. I mean it's not like he's ever going to do it again anyway.

All this does is push the fight to second in the wildcard. The exact same situation can still happen.

The Marlins' thingie. It's... um... it's pretty big.

Put some lights on that and it could appear in The Price is Right.

End of this month (Feb) MLB.TV subscriptions will auto-renew. Just a word of warning so you don't wonder what happened to that $119 in your bank account. :)

In other news. The 2011 Grapefruit League Champion Minnesota Twins (20-12) open spring training with a home-and-home against the Tampa Rays on March 3rd and 4th. :D

I'm not sure why I am subjecting myself to it, but I have been watching Game 6 over the last couple days. Currently... 7-4 Rangers late. I have a good feeling they will wrap it up!

You know, I love the Twins' lighted statue in CF, but this just seems ridiculous. At least the Twins' homerun thing isn't completely obnoxious.
