MLB 2011 Part 1

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Why? You don't like the possibility of Brewers vs Cardinals in NLCS? That would be a hell of a trivia question.

The thought makes me physically ill. Most people would look at the matchup and say the Brewers have a better chance against the Cardinals, but it would hurt SO much more to lose to them, and I do not trust the Brewers against them. If the Brewers make it to the next round and lose to the Phillies, hey, great season, lost to a great team. But if they lose to the Cardinals? blech. BLECH!!! I can't even think about it.

well that part would be horrible, but to beat them on such a big stage would be oh so sweet. Not to mention the whole 1982 world series angle.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Like last year.

Well, they weren't exactly beaten by chopped liver in Lincecum/Cain. Anything can happen obviously, but do you see a team out there whose pitching is close to what SF had last year in the playoffs?

fixed your post

but yeah, i'm hoping Theo goes to Chicago too. It'd be a big win for the rest of the AL east.. 'knowledgeable' red sox fans notwithstanding.

Wait, why is a Yankees fan commenting about other teams and steroids? LOL. And ya, I'm sure you know much more about the Sox situation than...Sox fans. A lot of fans want him gone. Guess we're just not as smart as you.

The Rays with Price, Shields, Hellickson and Moore. Milwaukee has Greinke, Gallardo and Marcum. The Tigers rotation isn't particularly bad...

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

I'd say the Rays would be 2nd to the Phillies in that department, but the Phillies have a vast superior lineup. Don't get me wrong, it would be great if the Yankees and Phillies lose in the first round...

It would have been great if the Dream Team had lost in 1992. Spock, I've found that evil usually triumphs...unless good is very, very careful.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Poor Joe Girardi...didn't like the strike zone tonight. Well, at least he has AJ Burnett going next...

Davis was making orange juice with CC tonight, Girardi is absolutely right. Either way, Yanks gotta win 2 with Burnett and Nova. It still isn't over.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

A Tigers/Brewers World Series would be the greatest thing in yooper history, unless the rioters are armed. Which they would probably be.

Too bad the Packers aren't in the AFC. We could dream of a double match.

Fox execs would jump out of a window if that Series happened.
