MLB 2011 Part 1

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Guess what just came out on the field of Yankee Stadium? Yep, if you guessed a tarp you win. Still plenty of time before first pitch, but **** this rain.

I wouldn't mind a day/night doubleheader, but I doubt they'll touch that idea. My guess is that tonight gets played unless its a monsoon, and it will go as late as possible, even if they need to push tomorrows start back to compensate. They can't have much flexibility for another rainout.

Terrible coverage from TBS/TNT. At one point there was a glitch and I had the Texas/TB game on both channels. Then they don't even show the 3rd out of that last inning in the Yankees/Tigers game.

I saw that, too, it was a cutaway gone horribly wrong.

It looks a lot like we wait a couple weeks and then see a very interesting Philadelphia-New York matchup.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

I just can't see a rotation led by Halladay/Lee/Hamels being beat.

I completely agree. From day one they were built as a playoff team. All they had to do was get to the playoffs.

When you have two stud starters, you should be favored in the playoffs. When you have three, you're **** near a lock for the WS.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

This current ownership is to blame for the introduction of everything "Red Sox Nation". Blame them, not the fans. Yankees fans have the same sense of entitlement. It goes along with winning and having a large payroll.
I don't know why he wouldn't understand this - as a Gopher hockey fan, this sort of perspective should be common knowledge. :p

Absolutely not. This was Brewster's doing and it got pushed into the rest of the sports. Minnesota fans HAAAAATED this campaign. Hated it. Hated, hated, hated, hated, hated, hated it. Right up there with the "We are! Minnesota!"

And the entitlement side of things? Please, only the rubes have this sense of entitlement. The rest of us expect it. THere's a big difference.

Cliff Lee, if you don't win this game, I am going to hunt you down and choke you with my bare hands.
