Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

New England sports fan....

Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics...

I've never known losing, haha.

Granted, I'm also a UNH fan, and I support Portsmouth FC, who's been relegated and almost liquidated in the past two years.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Doug Fister and David Pauley to Detroit for Charlie Furbush and Casper Wells, plus others.

A Fister/Furbush trade........

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Tonights million dollar question... will the yankees put up a 30 spot on the O's?

16-1 bot 3rd. When I looked in the bot 2nd with 1 out, everybody had a hit for the yankees, not sure when it happened exactly though.

It official. Cleveland sent 4 prospects to Colorado and burnt down the top half of their farm system to get him.

Cleveland and Detroit: Making sure that the AL Central lacks in quality for years to come. At least Denard Span's gone.

No, the Tigers didn't wreck their farm system today. Cleveland, OTOH, took a sizable bite out of theirs.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Verlander loses another no-hit bid with 2 out in the 8th.

Interesting game. Ordonez homered in the 3rd, and then exchanged words with Jared Weaver a couple innings later. Guillen then hit a bomb to right, and admired it a bit. Weaver and Guillen then yacked at each other until the home plate ump got to Weaver. Then Weaver showed that he is indeed Jeff Weaver's brother and has the similar mentality, throwing one over Avila's head, got ejected, and then acted like a badass with his coaches in front of him, challenging the entire Tiger dugout.
