Bottom of the 19th from Turner Field. Three all is the score. Closing in on 600 pitches thrown combined.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

So I have Ervin Santana (LAA) on my fantasy team.

This afternoon he is having a bit of a special one. Bot 9 currently.

Oh and the Indians have somehow committed 5 errors in this game!

Sounds like Beltran plus cash to the Giants for Zack Wheeler will go through sometime tonight. Terry Collins says he can't use Beltran in the game tonight.

Blue Jays swing a pair of blockbusters:

The Toronto Blue Jays got a jumpstart on the trade deadline by acquiring outfielder Colby Rasmus, utility player Mark Teahen and three relievers in a pair of blockbuster deals with Chicago and St. Louis. Rasmus is the biggest acquisition for Toronto. The 24-year-old was batting .246 for the Cardinals this season with 14 doubles, six triples, 11 home runs and 40 RBIs. He arrived as part of an eight-player deal that saw the Jays send outfielder Corey Patterson, right-handed starter Edwin Jackson and relievers Marc Rzepczynski and Octavio Dotel to St. Louis. The Cardinals will also receive three players to be named later or cash considerations. In exchange, Toronto added Rasmus and relievers Brian Tallet, Trever Miller and P.J. Walters. Jackson had been acquired earlier in the day as part of a four-player deal with the White Sox. He and Teahan came from Chicago for reliever Jason Frasor and pitching prospect Zach Stewart.

King Felix continues his mastery over the yankees to pull the mariners out of their losing skid, nope skid is too vague, landslide... there that's better.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Okay, so I just saw the play at the plate from last night's Pirates - Braves marathon. In my worst day ever behind the plate in over 30 years of umpiring baseball I would have never blown such an obvious call. No wonder Buccos fans are seriously PO'ed!
