Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Seriously. Pretty classy to boo people at a CHARITY EVENT.

Which cost people in the stands how many hundreds of dollars to attend?

Sorry, but they're major leaguers. If they can't handle the boo birds, fark 'em.

The players can handle it just fine. Again, that doesn't mean I can't think the people doing it are classless morons.

Why would they spend hundreds of dollars if they only wanted to see one person, when they weren't even sure he would be there? That sounds like THEIR problem.

Yeah, I always wonder when people say "I paid for my ticket, I got the right to boo." Yeah, you do have that right, congratulations, but it doesn't change the fact that it makes you look like a complete tool. :)

Everybody has psychological issues. Loud, drunk, presumably under-endowed males' issues tend to be more pathetic.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Has everyone seen the clip of Justin Timberlake being interviewed and trolling Joe Buck? If you haven't, you should.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

K-Rod to the Brewers for players to be named later. Makes his option interesting since he needs to finish 24 more games to be guaranteed next year.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

I've never gotten the Joe Buck hate. I love the voice and enjoy him calling games.

He's basically come out and said he doesn't enjoy what he does (calling baseball games) and likes football more. Yeah...tough gig, dickwad.

I never liked his condescending attitude. It's all business, business, business; I'm smarter than you about the game(s), the game(s) have to be proper and 100% tradition, no deviating.

The Randy Moss mooning exposed his lack of knowledge about the relevant non-game issues, and his arrogance.*

*for those who still don't know, Packer fans would routinely moon the Vikings bus on the way in and out of town. Moss was mocking that tradition. Buck was clueless.

Wow, those lawyers are stupid.
How do you twice show inadmissible evidence?

This may be the worst lawyer ever. No doubt he should lose his/her job. The judge was on point when he said "A first year law student wouldnt make this mistake."

May have been intentional (don't know, haven't followed this at all).

My wife was defending a guy and ended up with a jury that really favored her client. The prosecutor showed evidence that was inadmissible. Had to declare a mistrial because the jury was tainted. Second time around, the jury wasn't nearly as favorable. Client was convicted.

There'll never be any proof the mistrial was caused intentionally, but funny how it sure worked out better the 2nd time around.

May not be a second time.
I wouldn't be surprised if the judge declares jeopardy is attached.

I'd rather have The Price is Right attached. Then during recesses the jury can sneak back and play Plinko. That'd be awesome.

Unless, as others have suggested, that all the prosecution wanted to do was rattle his cage and this was the way to have a trial without actually having a trial. DA's don't get paid by the hour, defense attorneys do.
