Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Except he is still buy a remote chance at face value tickets to the opener. All season ticket holders and partial game plan holders still have priority in buying additional home opener tickets than people in the Twins Territory Team.

(hoping that dxmnkd comes through on home opener tickets....) ;)

I entered the lottery. No word on if I was picked. I am only able to get two tickets anyways... :(

This is great.

I don't really tailgate other than the F5, so I got stuck at that spot. I would have ended up either Twins or Blue Jays though (via Hot Dish, or Encased Meat).

I enjoyed this from SI's Phil Taylor: <a href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1182976/index.htm">No Joy in Metsville</a>

Let me ask, before I send an email: did it actually say anywhere on the Twins' website that the TTT presale would include the opportunity to buy Opening Day tickets, or did I only have that impression because it was mentioned in that context in this thread?

I would say it's implied, not stated.

Hey Twins fans? Your team's ticketing website is THE WORST THING EVER.

It happens when you have a new stadium and everyone wants to be there.
I'm sorry but there's no excuse to make people spend THREE ****ING HOURS in a virtual queue for an interface that DOESN'T EVEN WORK once you get to the front of the queue. Here's an idea, don't let people take 30 minutes to make their purchases so others who are waiting don't have to spend half of their afternoon doing so.

Edit to add: waiting, in case you forgot, for access to an interface that doesn't load properly once you get there.

LOL at Mike Scioscia getting tossed from a spring training game. Guess he got tired of staring at the umpire from the dugout with that befuddled look on his face like he normally does.

The team is catching a bunch of **** for this, and their reaction to it. From all I've heard it was completely unacceptable how terrible the system works, but I am guessing that it will be changed for next season.
