Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Per MLB Radio:

Johan Santana: Shoulder surgery necessary. Unsure about his timetable for return, but maybe sometime in 2011.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

God Fox is a piece of crap. Instead of being able to watch a game I want (SF/SD) I am blacked out and get StL/Atl based on their whim.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

What is it with the Rockies and September? They were like 10 back to begin the month of September. They beat Arizona to win their 10th in a row and are now a game and a half back of the Giants and Padres.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Are you kidding me on throwing out Carl Crawford in the 9th in a 0-0 game? Both strikes two and three were terrible calls, you can't toss him unless he bumps you there. Especially when you turn around and call another terrible strike on the first pitch to Longoria.

Well, to be fair Crawford didn't stop yapping. It wasn't as bad as the times Zimmerman, Howard, and most recently Holliday got tossed. Those guys were already walking away, while Crawford stuck around to argue. Rays still got the win though, and from the guy who took Carl's spot in the order.

Wandy Rodriguez has a rather interesting effort going against the Reds going to the 6th.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Pretty sad. It was painfully obvious that the White Sox had given up. Made the Tigers feel bad for them or something.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Christ. Leyland will forever remember his 3,000th game as a manager being a massive gong show on the field.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Inge just reached third on a K. Laird drives in the go-ahead run? This game his loaded with all kinds of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Edit: Let me clarify. Inge reached third on HIS K.

I just noticed the Padres close the season in San Fran. Please tell me every one of those games will be on TV if it's still a race. Padres are .5 out in the West and 1 game back in the Wild Card. SF has an easier schedule - Cubs, Rockies and Dbacks, while SD has the Cubs, Reds, and Dodgers. Should be interesting.
