Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

I don't have a f*ing problem. You are allowed to have an opinion because you made a crack at my team. Just the same as I am allowed to respond to your crack with another one. I guess I didn't realize that I wasn't allowed to respond to smack talk with more smack talk. Oops.

To a make amends. Get to Miller Park on April 25th for the Brewers/Cubs game. We shall have a beer, or whatever you drink as long as it is not fairy juice.

MLB Extra Innings preview on now.

Just an FYI, I have Charter and was not receiving the preview. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone and had to order the package and will have to call back to cancel before the preview ends.

So if you are expecting to get a game starting soon, make sure you're getting the channels.

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

A. Pujols and D. Wright both HR in the 1st inning for their teams.

Nyjer Morgan (H, SB, RS) helped give the Nats a 1-0 lead over Halladay and the Phils.

Pirates still not good, down 2-0 after half an inning.

I know Bush set the standard pretty high with his 9/11 World Series pitch, but c'mon, what is this???

A real pitcher's duel in Atlanta.

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

Pirates win 11-5. Texas gets a walk-off win on Opening Day.

Zambrano gives up 8 and can't make it through the 2nd.

3-run HR by my fantasy catcher Ryan Doumit to boot:cool:

What's sad is the same company that owns the newspaper I work for owns the Pirates....

They run their company the same way they run their baseball team. Cheap********!

Soooo...it's just like every other Opening Day start he's ever had? I don't think he's ever lasted 5 innings on Opening Day, yet somehow he keeps getting the nod.

Actually he's done better than I thought according to these stats:

2006 – @ Cincinnati…4.2IP, 7H, 5ER, 5BB, 5K, ND…Cubs win 16-7

2007 – @ Cincinnati…5IP, 6H, 5ER, 5BB, 2K, (0-1)…Cubs lose 5-1

2008 – vs. Milwaukee…6.2IP, 3H, 0ER, 1BB, 5K, ND…Cubs lose 4-3 in 10

2009 – @ Houston…6IP, 5H, 1ER, 3BB, 6K, (1-0)…Cubs win 4-2

All totaled…(1-1)…3 no-decisions…26IP…28H…17ER…Cubs go (3-2)

Impressive start for the Braves today.....Saito and Wags looked good.

The batting order this year? Jason Heyward. With ghost runners.

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

Everyone see that ridiculous play Mark Buehrle made yesterday?

http://www.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=7282679

Wonder if Buehrle is one of Barry's favorite Sox players?

Rob Dibble asks Obama who one of his favorite White Sox players was while growing up in Chicago. Obama stumbles and avoids the question. Maybe he misheard the question or maybe he was acting like a typical politician and avoiding the question because he didn't have an answer.

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

SportsNation just recreated the Buehrle play in studio. I guess I am not as impressed if a guy in a suit can do it on the first try.

But its still a nice play.
