Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

what's gay about not wanting to be eaten alive by blood thirsty mosquitoes??

You have to ask?

But seriously, I'll accept a few additional swats (which result more from water levels than air temperatures anyway) if it means already golfing 3 rounds.

Not like it would need to be that long. a night or so at the most, and it could happen on a weekday. thin out the mosquitoes out and you can go out and enjoy shanking your ball out into the woods there Shankapottamus!!! :p

I'll take the mosquitoes over the Nuclear Moths that appear at my place every year. Every. Time.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Hopefully it gets down to about 20 degrees for several days in April, to murder the ****ing mosquitos.
As long as we continue running short on moisture, the mosquitoes won't be too bad. They need standing water to breed - without that, their numbers will be minimal (we're getting some rain this week, but it's not nearly enough to either end the drought or produce much standing water as the soil will rapidly absorb whatever we get).

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

C'mon, yesterday you were all over this one. Why the cold feet?

Minnesota weather is about as close to a perfect random number generator as you can get. Except for maybe cosmic background radiation.

My swamp has standing water in it.

Swamps (and lakes) are the last things to dry out.

Most areas are bone dry, so unless we get a lot of moisture in the coming months, the mosquito problem should be minimal (unless you happen to live next to a swamp). :p

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Don't forget about ticks! They are going to be bad this season. My poor dogs!

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

I hate ticks. Somewhat of an irrational fear, even.

I will take crawling bugs over flying bugs any day of the week. It's moth season at my apt right now. And it's about to get insane. Saw the first one last night, and all I thought was "SOON." I hate them so much.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Get some sort of bug zapper and put it out on your balcony. Fry the ****ers.

That's use of technology you're talking about. Next thing you know, you're going to suggest he start using credit and debit cards!
