Monumental underdog?! Oh that's rich! You are kinda insulting them, aren't you? UM is #1 in scoring and PP, UW is#1 in defense and PK. I'd say it's a 50-50 series.
Timothy, I believe brookyone was just kidding around a little. I would agree that the upcoming series is pretty close to 50-50, with possibly a slight edge to the Badgers because they are at home.

I hope so, that was a pretty bold statement.

So....are you kidding or serious?
I am certain that brooky was kidding with the "monumental underdog" comment but I am serious that USCHO is the one place on the internet I can go when I want to find people to have jokes fly over their head haha

It's hard to joke about such a serious topic as women's college hockey. Now if this was a thread about fixing the Syrian refugee problem, joke away.

Looking overall at the all USA preseason girls hockey team it shows the current top three teams having the majority of the players on this list committed to them. And of those three teams we know only one will "stash" players to keep other teams from getting better. ;)

Any "rational" person certainly understands this irrefutable truth.

I thought Meetz played a great game. (Despite, as I see now, she was the one that let Nurse get behind her for the fateful breakaway in OT!)

Also, that game made me think about Potomak's learning curve. I'm hoping Wisconsin took her to school in the best way. Things that normally work don't work against Wisconsin and this series could be really good for her. Maybe even from yesterday to today she could pick up a thing or two, but definitely heading into the second half.

yes she did

although I don't think "let" is the proper word
that is something the Gophers have done all year, against other teams they have mostly gotten away with it
but against a team like WI you are going to get burned eventually
it is something that was happening all game

A hearty congratulations to the Gophers for a streak of 16-0-2 against Wisconsin. Another of their tremendous achievements the last few years. Maybe even their most amazing achievement!

I'd rather lose the first meeting of the year than the last :p

Back to work Gophers and good luck in today's game!!

Well said. Now that the streak is over it will be very interesting to see how they react today.
