Re: Minnesota Women's Hockey 2015-2016: Confection Free
I don't mind the Roseville rink at all but as MBTC alludes to I've only been there for the Raider v Pony battles with packed houses...and finding parking for those games was rough.
I have no idea what the complaint about the rink as "worse than Braemar for enjoying a game" is about. High school rink, that means small. I think nine rows of wooden benches, maybe 10, both sides, none on the ends. Smaller than Braemar, but small also means intimate. The sight lines are fine and you are right on top of the game.
Perhaps it is because I live in Roseville and get to this arena almost as often as I get to Ridder, but parking is not something I am worried about at all. If you think parking for hockey is bad you should try some year to park there for the 4th of July fireworks at Central Park.
Saint Cloud still has Hanna Brodt on the roster, that and the ample role of Brodts in Gopher history means a bumper crop turnout from the Brodt family. Then, the Gophers have Lee Stecklein, Lee has lots and lots of friends in Roseville. Bethany Brausen and family are also likely attendees.
I agree about getting there early. In addition to Gopher fans and Husky fans, it seems likely to me that a large number of Roseville hockey fans will turn out. The place is likely to be full.
I personally guarantee that the concessions are better than the concessions at Ridder. They actually pop the popcorn at the concession stand in Roseville.
