Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

And somehow you think that this behavior ends at the state line?

My thoughts exactly.

I was in LaCrosse from 89-93 and me and a few buddies used to go up to see the Hawks play the Stars at the Met Center. If I remember correctly, we went up about 20 times over that span. How do you think that went?

Of course we were welcomed with open arms in the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play. No one ever said that Chelios should be killed or that they hoped Roenick would blow out his knee. No one ever picked fights with us in the concourse or threw things at us from behind. No one ever got in our face and threatened us. No one ever rocked the porta-potty that I was in(actually pretty funny now, but I was a little terrified  at the time).

Minnesota has the gosh darn nicest sports fans in the world! You are a shining beacon for us all to follow.

Well if you want an explanation the Stat sheet should tell you the story,2 dumb checking from behind penalty's in the 3rd and the chance at 3 or 4 points went down the drain even against Mankato.... when you play half or more of the 3rd period 1 man down!!! It was really impressive Defense that we only gave up 1 goal in the 3rd...

As far as the tie against CC opening weekend, I was happy with a tie that game, playing without Geoffrion, B. Smith and Davies so to sum it up, even though this teams record is just average so far, i don't think the play has been average at all.

So if they play that dumb against Mansucko how are they going to control themselves against the hated gophers. They'll be out of control.

"Mansucko" as you refer to them, managed to play quite well at Denver, garner a point, Oh! and by the way, scored six or seven goals in the series.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

does anyone know the TV deal this weekend, by looking at all the tV guides I can these games are not on FSN North in Minnesota and just on local TV in madison so there for not on FCS across the country? My friend in Pennsylvania thought she would be able to catch the game on a dish but there is nothing listed. Thats a first for this series I think, normally FCS puts these games on... Anybody have any Info on this situation??

I see both listed as being on FS North and FCS Central.

Here is College Hockey News take on the Badger Blue line:

Even with Jaime McBain moving on, the Badgers have a blue-chip backline, with numerous high NHL Draft picks. Four of the top seven scorers on the team right now are defensemen. This includes Ramage, he of the illustrious bloodlines, with father Rob a long-time NHLer

This will be interesting, because I heard that one of the current officials is going to be sacked.

The rest of them will be very careful about their calls.

You must not have been here for the #26 Union @ St, Clooud thread. That was maxed and a Part two was started...

Numerous other series threads of the past also got closed down and had 2nd threads started...10 pages by Wed won't even get this halfway to closed.
