Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

Leddy is out for six weeks. He had surgery on Monday, they put a metal brace in there.

Ness is still small, but he seems to stay on the puck a little better. He will always be more of a positional/play the puck with the stick kind of defenseman.

I heard that his Dad wrote a letter to Bruce McCloed.(sp)

And somehow you think that this behavior ends at the state line? Sorry to hear about Barriball. Inflicting death upon a gopher is more honorable when he is healthy.

It doesn't end at the state line, because for some reason, Minnesota still lets Sconnies in.

We need to build a wall or get a border patrol or something. Keep those Sconnies out!!!!!

All I did was post what an expert site thought about the Badger defense. I'll let the rest of the talking happen on the ice this weekend.

At that point most of the Fortune 500 and other top companies in Minnesota will fail.

Deer hunting calls so I won't see a single minute of this series.

Go Gophers.

I gave away my two Saturday tickets to one of my co-workers for the same reason. The rut is on big time here in Wisconsin and my time is devoted to either hunting or resting. (occasional necessary work as well).

GO BADGERS!

So where is your reasoning in your statement? I mean I think it's really cool that you know a little history, but maybe you should take your historical skills and look up the all time record for the Gophers/Badgers series. In any sport.

By the way, what companies are you expecting to fail? Target? Best Buy? Cargill? Medtronic? Surely they cannot match Madison's pride and joy Oscar Mayer.

What in the blue hell are you talking about?

"To be or not to be, that is the question." --Shakespeare

Yay, I recited a quote! It has nothing to do with the situation at hand, but it makes me look smart! Whoopee! Now, gimme my gold star!

Wisconsin is where I go for all my toilet needs. :D

Take THAT ya stinkin' badgers! -Doug Woog

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

I'm pretty sure that quote goes with Glen Sonmor.
...and I'm positive it was Sonmor. I believe Woog's reaction to the same play was, "Uh oh" when seeing Kessel put his hand up to his ear. :D

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

Why haven't we seen..."Today is a great day for hockey"...yet, especially given the thread?

Because thats not how it goes. The correct saying is, "It's a great day for hockey" Now you've seen it. :p

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

Doug: Oh, the Gophers got a penalty, Mankato on the PP.
Frank: This is an important PK for the Gophs.
Doug: Yes it is.
Frank: Oh, the Mavs scored.
Doug: Yes they did.

Brilliance.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

I admit I'm paraphrasing this one, but distinctly remember this from the Wooger on a few occasions.

note: team in question is currently down by 2 goals:

Doug: They need to score one, then they'll only be down by one. Then if they score again it will be nothing-nothing.

Gotta love that!

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

Woog has a lot of 'em.

"Next team to score wins the game" - said it OT That is the one that is probably repeated most often. But I like this one even better:

"The team that scores first will have the lead."
