Glass houses? How so?

Umm, you guys haven't always supported your teams when they're losing either?

Don't get me wrong, other than the Packers, neither have we. Nobody really does.

People in Milwaukee brag that they saved the Packers from leaving Green Bay. Without them scheduling games at the old baseball stadium the beloved Packers might have been gone.

I've never heard that. All I know is that throughout the 70s and 80s when the Packers sucked, people still went to the games.

The Milwaukee thing was happening during the "Glory Years" of the sixties, so I hardly believe that attendance was the driving force behind playing there.

I thought the same thing. He and his buddies said why do you think the Packers played in Milwaukee during the regular season.

From Wikipedia so take it as you will.

"Financial considerations prompted the Packers to turn to Milwaukee in the 1930s; by 1995 after multiple renovations to Lambeau Field, it became more lucrative for the Packers to play their full home slate in Green Bay again for the first time since 1932."

Who knows why they played there but it probably helped to make the Packers the whole state's team and for that reason it was a good thing.

I don't take any personal credit for the attendance as we didn't have tickets, but we did follow them and my dad and I lived and died (mostly died) with them through that period (70s & 80s).

Looks like the guys from Sprecher brewery were correct. ;)

Hawks fan right? Are you one of the 12 people who showed up at their games when they we're brutal?

That fanbase ranks right up there with Pens fans. Both were dead last in attendance up until a few short years ago.. The pathetic part is after they win the SC all the "Original 6" flags went up.. But Chippy fits the mold perfectly so I can understand... Heck with that kind of a dedicated fanbase (Hawks) they most certainly deserve the honor of hosting a Winter Classic and Hockey night across America airing...

Weak Sauce

Let's see, what other topics haven't we brought up yet but should... hmm.
BTN vs FSN coverage of the games is one possibility.

Suggestions for future dance choreography of the UW student section is another.

I think they should all hammerdance.

Yeah, in the 30s, Milwaukee evidently saved the Packers.

Did I mention that one time, Curly Lambeau was a bit short on cash and couldn't pay the lease or the player salaries and he was going to lose the team until my grandpa loaned him $250 to get him through? So, my family also saved the Packers.

Grandpa said that the bastard never paid him back either.

Give me 5 minutes before you verify this on Wikipedia...

On the BTN front, Andringa was trying so hard to appear unbiased that he was actually rooting for you guys.

I don't mind Andringa, but I hate the BTN's camera work. They need to pony up and get one of the roaming cameras (believe that is what they're called) that FSN uses. They were much better tonight then last Saturday though. Having people's heads obstruct shots every time people stood up when a goal was scored was brutal.
