Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

One problem the Twins have is Glen Perkins is an absolute head case right now. Heading towards a reincarnation of Ron Davis.

If I'm Molitor, I sit down with Allen and figure out how to get Perkins mind readjusted.

Bases loaded, no outs. Twins likely won't get a run...

...And that's why we keep losing games.

It's the 8th and you have nothing going. Go ahead and challenge the play even if you think it's not necessarily going to get overturned.

Saving it doesn't help you at this point.

They're combining some pretty bad pitching with some pretty bad hitting. It's like they can't manage the pitch count from the mound or at the plate.

The scary part is they are heading towards a sub .500 season after being well over going in to the break. Including a 6-1 homestand.

This could be an epic collapse.

Well, if you can't pitch, can't hit, and your closer has turned into a complete head case then, yes, you're in trouble. Not impressed with the pitcher they picked up either. He's bad at pitch count pitching as well. Twins got back into the game last night and then went into complete "I'm going to strike out by looking at strikes and swinging at junk" mode.

Pelfrey given a 6 run lead going to the bottom of the 3rd and he promptly gives 4 back. He sucks.

When did you guys get red jerseys?

Also, you guys should never wear red jerseys. Your blue alternates are great.

They've had the red alternatives for years now. It's been so long that I can't remember when they began. They only wear them for a small handful of games each year.

Very small number. And for good reason. They are terrible.

Hate the red jerseys. Look like a softball team. Nothing wrong with softball, but an MLB team shouldn't look like one.

Just caught a glimpse on the Tiger postgame show. What your boys wore tonight was horrific.
