Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

Kubel hits into a double play and the Royals blow the tag at 2nd and can't make the play at 1st. Too funny. The Royal was off the bag when he caught the ball at 2nd. Replay shows he never touched the bag. Everybody is safe.

7-5 now. Bases loaded. 2 out. Jim Thome.

Thome strikes out with them loaded.

How awesome is the new bullpen backpack this year? It totally beats Dora from last year.

It's a Chamber Of Commerce evening at Target Field. :)
Wish I was there. :(

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

Tell me if you've heard this one before: bases loaded, no key hit. :p

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

Well that's one......er......two ways to score with the bases jacked.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

Who needs hitting when they can just hand you runs with a blown double play and a wild pitch?

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

I'm a little confused about the attendance numbers. Tonight was 38,985, the highest so far, and Bud Selig himself has said every game this season is a sellout. But, ESPN's box score notes that it was 98.7% capacity. So, is capacity really at 39,500, and then how can these games be sellouts?

Signed,
Confused.

There's your problem, you're listening to Bud Selig.

Actual attendance v. real attendance?

Or sometimes a certain pct is needed to be deemed a "sellout" even though it's not 100%.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

When Kevin Slowey is on his game, he's the best pitcher in this rotation. I'm not arguing with anyone about that, its simply the truth. :)

I'm thinking they're counting the tickets scanned rather than sold. At the opener this year, the two seats next to me were open as were others.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

If by Kevin Slowey you mean Francisco Liriano, then I agree. ;)

If I was to be interested in arguing with you about this, and again, I stress that I'm not, ;) , I would say you have a valid point but let's see how Liriano performs over the course of a full season. We know what Slowey can do, and he has shown consistency in the past. Liriano, post-surgery, has been all over the board.

If I was to refute your non-arguement. I would say that you said "when he is on his game". So if you are going to use this term you can't go back and say its about consistency or post-injury, etc.

If you take all of the Twins pitchers when they are on their game and compare them, Liriano is better.

:p

True but Slowey has been more consistent.
