It could be worse, at least we're not playing the Brewers right now. They are up 16-0 on the Pirates.

Good to see Moonshot Scott is already in mid-season form.

I never understood why Gardy has him as the #1 starter. He has never lived up to his potential, sucks more often than not, and he has nicknames like Moonshot Scott and Baker the RBI Maker for a reason. With how the rest of the staff is performing, he's a #4 at best.

Nothing like the Pittsburgh Pirates to bust you out of a funk...8-1, 8-0 and currently 16-0. Before the Pirates series the Brewers had not allowed less than 4 runs in a game. They have also now had 4 straight games where they had an 8 run lead...not to mention scoring 43 runs in their last 4 games...including today so far...

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

We gotta start sweeping some of these lower tier teams, because we aren't always going to keep winning series, eventually we're going to start losing some. 2 out of 3 might be good enough in the Central though.

What happened to the Brewers? Did they miss an extra point?

20-0 final...2 field goals on stalled drives and 2 touchdowns ;)

I believe I had end of April for when concern would set in for Twins fans ;)

If ONLY winning 2 out of 3 each series is the biggest concern we have all season, things won't be so bad. ;)

What's that project out to, about 107 wins? Yeah, not bad.

Well the other key is to not get swept in a series ;)

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

If we win 2 out of 3 in every series, getting swept won't matter. :D

Our lead in the Central has been trimmed to 2.5 games. ;)

of course not...but if you don't get swept and still manage to win 1 of 3, you can have a crappy stretch and still be in good shape. Look at the brewer's start. They were 5-7 before the pirates series and because they never got swept, they now have a winning record because of one 3 game sweep.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

The only other times in Twins history they started 9-3 or better, their final record for wins were 70, 77, and 85. Of course that 85 win season was a World Series title one. :D

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

Could someone fix Kubel? That'd be swell. .185? That's very Laudner-like.

Blackburn getting roughed up in KC tonight. He looks "uncomfortable," to say the least. :(
