Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

I won't waste my time, but if my 33+ years of living in MN is any indication, I'm glad I won't waste my time.

General situation:

MN Fans: We need to trade for (insert situation)!!!!!!!
Trade doesn't happen.
MN Fans: Our team will never make that move! Ugh! * 'em!

MN Fans: We need to trade for (insert solution)!!!!!!
Trade happens, or trade that fills another possibly glaring need happens.
MN Fans: We got ripped off!!!!!! Ugh! * 'em!

Reading the reaction to trading away Ramos for CAPS (he has his own meme already, apparently) has been entertaining. It did wonders for me avoiding doing any actual work today ;) :)

This is about exactly what I expected, and if the opposite would have happened (i.e. nothing), then the same conversation would be taking place--just on Saturday afternoon/night instead of Friday. So, I owe the front office a sincere "thank you" for today's entertainment :D

Denard Span got picked off...AGAIN!

And then Casilla goes yard...or does he? (It is under review and it will be called a homer)

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Can I say that the Twins are crappy now that they're in second place? Last month I guess I couldn't because "oooh it's a long season and the twins are in first place and joe mauer."

How now, dingleberries?

You should of said it like a week ago when they were in 3rd. :p

Even Gladden and Morris were quick to point out that Slowey's recent hot streak has been against the Royals, the Orioles, and the Mariners.

Well, I guess there is no one else I would rather have at the plate with the bases loaded on a Sunday than Kubel.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

$2 is a small price to pay for not having to set foot in a DMV. I just wish I could renew my actual license online (that idiotic process awaits me next year).

huh... I don't mind the DMV. The one I go to is quiet, hasn't been busy when I've gone, and the people that work there are generally quite nice.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Now we'll see whether this recent hot streak is just a fluke due to horrid competition or if the team is really returning to the form it had early in the season.

Massive road trip including series with Tampa Bay and Chicago... hopefully the starting rotation doesn't **** the bed.

Does TB still have a better road record than home record? I thought there was a big disparity.
